In the 1930s my father was caught in a rainstorm outside Portsmouth Catholic Cathedral, so he took shelter inside. Pontifical High Mass was taking place, and he was amazed by what he saw and heard. He made enquiries in the Sacristy at its conclusion and as a result of his experience took instruction and became a Catholic.
